FIRE STATION OPEN DAY - 2016
The new fire station was open to the public on Sunday November 20th from 10.00am until 2.00pm.  Visitors enjoyed the activities on the day which included:
  • Station Tours;
  • Fire truck Displays;
  • Technical rescue Display
  • Brigade History Display;
  • Community Safety Display
  • Squirting the fire hose (adults can have a go too!).

Secretary of the Auxiliary, Michele Wills was absent on the night but has since been presented with her 30 Year service award and Life Membership.                     
Henry Barton was recognised for his service with Life Memberships from the Brigade and the CFA.
The Encouragement Award was awarded to Fire Fighter Aaron Hume and Chris Sharam was awarded Firefighter of the Year

The Warrnambool Fire Brigade Annual dinner was held on the 16th of July 2011

Presentations of VFBV GOLD STAR AWARDS were made to Allen Woodhams and Malcolm Bishop by Ex Capt Hans Van Hamond AFSM

Allen joined the Mortlake Brigade in 1973 (38 years of service)
He has been a competitor over many years and acted as an official on many occasions

_He has been a coach, the last time Senior Running Team Coach for Warrnambool in 2009

  • Allen reached the rank of Captain in the Mortlake Brigade, transferring to Warrnambool Brigade in 2006.
    ·
             He has been a representative on the Regional Council
    ·         Allen is employed by the CFA as a DMO.
    ·         Malcolm joined the Mortlake Brigade in 1977 (34 years of service)
    ·         He has been a competitor over many years and acted as an official on many occasions
    ·         He has been a coach of running teams both Junior and Senior and is currently the Senior Running Coach for Warrnambool


·         Malcolm is currently chairman of the Western Zone committee and is a representative on the Regional Council

·         He reached the rank of Captain in the Mortlake Brigade and was also a Deputy Group Officer.
·         He transferred to Warrnambool in 1966.
·         Malcolm is currently Chairman of the Warrnambool Brigade
·         Malcolm works for Christians Bus Company

The Annual Dinner was a family affair for Malcolm as his son Adam received his 5 year service award and his other son the Brigade Encouragement Award
